Jay Dyer, who has been an outspoken Catholic, Sedevacantist, Eastern Orthodox (not quite, but almost), Catholic (again)...has decided to convert to Orthodoxy...again...although maybe all the way this time.
See, all you have to do is consult the Church fathers and you're set on which church is the True Church...The fact an Orthodox/Romanist can flip-flop on what church is the "True" Church based on his own studies disproves the premise both Orthodox/Romanists use in their appeals to authority. How much you wanna bet he'll still use the whole "well my church is really, really, really old" argument?

Technically speaking the Orthodox don't use tradition in the same sense as the Roman magisterium. Keith Mathison points this out in *Shape of Sola Scriptura.* He admits that Orthodoxy doesn't fall into his labels of Traditions 0, 1, 2, and 3.
I didn't mean to imply both use identical formulas...rather, they boil down to this:
"Hey! Our true church is older than your whipper-snapper version!"
Granted.
Technically, however, that claim, at least from the Eastern view, is true.
Good job Craig. Enjoying the God who damns Himself and splits up the Trinity?
As I noted on facebook, I don't believe those things, so they're not working for me.
In regard to this post, I didn't do too much, but thanks nonetheless.
Your move back to Orthodoxy is just another demonstration that rejecting sola scriptura results in Rumpus Romanists and Ebullient Easterns.
